writerverse. Prompts were curiosity and character death and there is the bonus of no dialogue. This is set in the future in Scotland, in an area of West Lothian/Falkirk counties, where I come from.
Summery: A nuclear war is now a reality. Cealeah thinks she is safe in her backward Scottish village and when the bombs come, she can hardly get her head around the consequences.
( Caeleah pulls herself out from under the bricks and rubble, coughing and spluttering, and drags herself out towards the light, clawing at the mess of concrete and dirty with bloodied hands )
